Červenka, Jan
In its regular survey in Autumn 2022, Public Opinion Research Centre investigated public opinion regarding the dissolution of Czechoslovakia thirty years ago.\nCompared to other historical events of the period since 1989, the dissolution of Czechoslovakia is perceived relatively the worst.\nToday, half of the citizens (50%) consider this step correct, 39% evaluate it as incorrect. At the same moment the people who witnessed it perceive the dissolution of Czechoslovakia somewhat more critically in this regard.\nThe opinion about the close relationship between the two states was confirmed once again in this survey, and the majority of the citizens of the Czech Republic think that it should be so.

The theoretical part describes the role of money and monetary policy, the technical preparation of the currency separation, including a new series of banknotes, and outlines Czech media trends after the 1989. Kvítková, Alena ; Šafařík, Petr (advisor) ; Lizcová, Zuzana (referee)
The master thesis Czech and Slovak media representation of the dissolution of Czechoslovakia is concerned with the way in which media portrayed the dissolution of Czechoslovakia. Through the analysis of articles on the topic in question it examines the media image created by each newspaper respectively, by Czech and Slovak newspapers as two units and the overall image based on all of the collected data. Three Czech (Mladá fronta DNES, Rudé právo and Blesk) and three Slovak (Smena, Pravda and Nový Čas) newspapers served as the source for the analysis. Articles from two periods were collected - from the time the act on the dissolution of Czechoslovakia was passed and from the time the actual dissolution took place. The aim is to establish the overall media image of the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, but also to compare and contrast the image created by Czech and Slovak newspapers and to study their differences concerning the overall positive, negative or neutral image as well as the implemented media frames. In addition, the thesis also focuses on the different portrayal of the dissolution in right-wing and left-wing newspapers and broadsheet and tabloid press. The final confrontation of the results with public opinion surveys is also important as it proves the connection between the media agenda and...

Be a witness: The turning points of our history viewed by Pavel Koutecký
Strachotová, Alžběta ; Čeněk, David (advisor) ; Přádná, Stanislava (referee)
The following bachelor's thesis deals with the work of Czech filmmaker Pavel Koutecký and it focuses on several of his films on the modern history of our country. The first part outlines the entire picture of his work and highlights the diversity of selected topics and attitudes. The main part adresses films in which the director was focused on our history, while those are viewed in the context of documentary and historical film. Therefore the theoretical chapter deals with the definitions of the documentary and historical film and it mentions the main theoretical questions dedicated to those two issues. Chosen films are then analyzed not only as separate entities, but also the context of documentary and historical films is included. In all the works the thesis notices concretely chosen topics and how they are conceived as well as the visuality, animation techniques and collages, which Pavel Koutecký used. It examines thus the specific approach of Pavel Koutecký to the history of the state and the people experiencing the revolutionary moments. The final chapter summarizes all the knowledge, identifies the common denominators of the works and describes the documentary style of Pavel Koutecký.
